Larry Garvin graduated from Dartmouth in 1953. After going to Korea, he worked for Procter & Gamble, worked for Uniroyal®, then served as vice president for the Organic Chemical division of  W.R. Grace. Garvin, who has lived in Wakefield for 51 years, opened Wakefield Tire Center & Auto Repair, legally known as Garvin Tire Inc., in 1973.
